چکیده
Breast cancer (BCa) is one of the leading health problems among women. Although significant achievements have led to advanced therapeutic success with targeted therapy options, more efforts are required for different subtypes tumors and according genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic alterations. This study underlines role microRNA-21 (miR-21) in metastatic MDA-MB-231 breast cells. Following knockout miR-21 from cells, which highest expression levels compared MCF-7 SK-BR-3 BCa a decrease epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) via downregulation mesenchymal markers was observed. Wnt-11 critical target miR-21, related signaling axis altered stable associated increase Furthermore, release extracellular vesicles (EVs) significantly reduced KO alongside reduction relative export EV cargo, control We conclude that factor involved BCa. Future strategies could focus on its treatment cancer.

Checkpoint in MDA-MB-231 Breast Cancer Cells
There is evidence that specificity proteins (Sp), such as Sp1, Sp3, and Sp4, are overexpressed in tumors and contribute to the proliferative and angiogenic phenotype associated with cancer cells. Sp1, Sp3, and Sp4 are expressed in a panel of estrogen receptor (ER)–positive and ER-negative breast cancer cell lines, and we hypothesized that regulation of their expression may be due to microRNA-27...
متن کاملHypoxia regulates stemness of breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells.
Human breast cancers include cancer stem cell populations as well as non-tumorigenic cancer cells. Breast cancer stem cells possess self-renewal capability and thus are the root cause of recurrence and metastasis of malignant tumors. Hypoxia is a fundamental pathological feature of solid tumor tissues and exerts a wide range of effects on the biological behavior of cancer cells. However, there ...
متن کاملPeptide nucleic acids targeting miR-221 modulate p27Kip1 expression in breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells.
The activity of a peptide nucleic acid (PNA) targeting cancer-associated microRNA-221 is described. PNAs against miR-221 were designed in order to bind very efficiently to the target RNA strand and to undergo efficient uptake in the cells. A polyarginine-PNA conjugate targeted against miR-221 (Rpep-PNA-a221) showed both very high affinity for RNA ...
متن کاملmiR-153 Silencing Induces Apoptosis in MDA-MB-231 Breast Cancer Cells
Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer, and the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in US women (Siegel et al., 2012). Breast cancer is functionally classified based on molecular profiles. Estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR) and ErbB-2/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER-2) status are molecular markers used to determine breast cancer subtypes as w...
متن کاملResveratrol augments paclitaxel treatment in MDA-MB-231 and paclitaxel-resistant MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells.
BACKGROUND Resveratrol (RES) inhibits cell growth, induces apoptosis and augments chemotherapeutics in multiple cancer types, although its effects on drug-resistant cancer cells are unknown. MATERIALS AND METHODS To study the effects of resveratrol in triple-negative breast cancer cells that are resistant to the common cancer drug, paclitaxel, a novel paclitaxel-resistant cell line was genera...
